FACTBOX: Key upcoming dates for Societe Generale
(Reuters) - This is a list of the main upcoming events for Societe Generale (SOGN.PA: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) after France's second-biggest listed bank unveiled $7 billion rogue trading losses on January 24 in the world's biggest trading scandal.
FEB 4:
Economy Minister Christine Lagarde due to hand in report to Prime Minister Francois Fillon, giving a "first assessment" on SocGen's scandal and recommendations on how to strengthen internal and external controls on trading operations.
FEB 4-8:
SocGen may detail a planned 5.5 billion euro capital increase aimed at shoring up the bank's finances.
Chief Executive Daniel Bouton was reported to have said the terms of the capital increase would be announced "next week," according to the French media which cited extracts from an internal "chat" Bouton held with staff on January 29.
SocGen said it was not confirming this schedule, and that it had to report 2007 earnings before launching the rights issue.
