Nissan U.S. April sales fall an adjusted 1.6 pct

DETROIT (Reuters) - Nissan Motor Co (7201.T) on Thursday reported a 1.6 percent overall decrease in April U.S. auto sales after adjusting for two more selling days in the month compared with the same month a year earlier.

Nissan-brand sales were up 0.1 percent in April on an adjusted basis, while sales for its luxury Infiniti brand were down 11.5 percent on that basis, the automaker said.

April had 26 selling days compared with 24 days a year ago. U.S. sales for its Nissan and Infiniti brands combined rose to 75,855 from 71,124 a year earlier in raw terms.
