$166.00 per month? Wow! She must be trying to bring our “government” down. I think that she would have quit without a trial. This was just another PC move by government.

While I understand and sympathize with surviving relatives and friends of someone who takes their own life, I really question if there would have been any of this heavy handed legal action taken on the part of both the feds and the state of California and/or a new law passed outlawing the sale of these kits in Oregon if the mother of the young Oregon man who used one of the kits was not a US District Judge?

Good thing she’s been sentenced as I just saw LA was going to institute a ban on plastic bags.

I was looking for a way to blame this on liberals, but this is the kind of thing they support. If you want to kill yourself, you should have the right to do so. Just make sure you are successful, otherwise you’ll go to jail for attempted murder on yourself. lol.

So that fact that she made little money is suppose to make this less illegal or less disturbing? People can tell themselves she is a humanitarian or a black widow with no respect for human life but there’s no argument that its against the law. At least one of the people she “helped” should have turned to someone experienced with helping young people with depression instead of this dark woman.

This woman is providing a service many in this country should be able to take advantage of.
We should not be restricting her right to do so.

Can the relatives of people who jump off of bridges sue the government that owns the bridges ? Should we ban bridges ? I hope the confiscated inventory is used by all officials involved in this case. I hate to see good products go to waste. The real lesson here is if somebody in government wants to mess with you they will find a way. THAT is what’s wrong here. Maybe if they spent more time fixing the economy there would be fewer suicides? I do have sympathy for anyone losing a friend or family member to suicide and I hope these people have the sense to put blame where it belongs. This device is not the problem !

Of course not, it only became an issue at that point. Prior to that it wasn’t an issue. If that was my son or yours – the news, if there was any, would be totally local.

Problem with the supposed ‘governance’ in this country is that the idiots running things outright ignore the first paragraph of the first document ever drafted by this country, you know the ‘all people are equal’ part….

But they have ignored that forever pretty much, they don’t believe that for a second. Slavery was proof that was ignored and today, all you need to do is read the news and just look at the disparity between a case/scenario that involves ‘normal’ people as opposed to any case/situation that involves some perceived ‘influential’ person.

So sad too. People really are equal – strip them down and put them in a concentration camp and they are quite equal. But somehow, the more feeble minded and shallow people somehow think shiny gold rocks or pieces of paper called ‘money’ somehow make you a ‘better’ person.

And as long as that continues, the world will be a crappy place and sadly, it’s been that way throughout recorded history and will continues to infect human history. It’s plainly clear that humanity cannot govern itself fairly and equally.
