Mississippi has some of the worst health statistics in the country. It’s shameful that the politicians there are putting politics ahead of the well being of their citizens.

The whole concept of local ‘insurance exchanges’ is totally absurd. It makes people PRISONERS of a locale because if their job situation changes and they have to move to another state then they are forced to go through the procedure again since they will be ‘out-of-network’. This is total nonsense and defeats the concept of UNIVERSAL COVERAGE that was promised. The only universal coverage available now is MEDICARE. Obama and his cronies should have put through a MEDICARE FOR ALL with actuarily sound premiums, reasonable basic coverage with caps and co-pays. Those who wanted more coverage could then purchase SUPPLEMENTAL COVERAGE as with current Medicare. This would have resulted in true Universal Coverage. Instead we now have a complete pile of BS = 2500+ pages of it, and are no better off. We have just created more PRISONERS of the system.
