Mo may want to steer clear of politics, but the politics would never let him off the hook. Shortly after the news about Mo’s prize winning, the Chinese media published a letter from Li Changchun, member of the communist party politiburo, the man in charge of the party propaganda. Li congratulated Mo’s prize winning and also stated that Mo’s winning of Nobel prize was a manifestation of the increase of China’s overall national strength.
