For Barack Obama, a second chance
Ode to a Country
Why should any despair this vote -
procured by many just off the boat?
Idle of customs, culture, not mind -still
far and wide the Prez behind.
Yet worse the saddled patrons implode
their horse’s arse to win forbode
All bets to chance a common ground
on which to make the beast come ’round.
Race on with blinders full we must,
’til we feel the Unicorn’s thrust.
Parlance pressures but subside
the betters knowing, completely snide
That maybe now, man’s preoccupation
Can look upon a once sovereign nation.
Our “Earth Planet” just “sails” along!
Our “Cargo” just “sails” with it”!
Our “Thoughtful Thinking” can sail too!
-If We Want – And Care Enough-
House and Senate Republicans need to understand that the American people expect progress. If they interpret this as a narrow victory for Democrats and continue to impose the gridlock seen over the last two years then the American people will make the necessary changes. You can take that to the bank!
you want em, you got em! don’t come complaining when the standard of living continues its inexorable decline and you sit there wondering why.
hey republisheep you do know obama won the popular vote by 1 million? that’s a rounding error in any statistics endeavor so what you have is a deeply divided country half on one side half on the other. that’s not a mandate to give up your principles and throw in your lot with the other side. the president and the senate need to compromise, not the house. that’s been the problem since day one hence the gridlock.
All of you that have voted for your savior don’t forget this term is supposed to be to fix America as he stated in his debates. Remember he needed more time to fix America, well Mr.President you have your time now lets see what your actually going to do with it. I would expect some of his policies for America to be put into effect in the coming weeks considering he has had 4 years to get his policies in order for America. So there should be no waiting period, but we shall see.
Will Congress continue to hold the country to ransom through gridlock and blocking Obama on measures that help it? If the Republicans keep up their obstructionist tactics will not more people see them for who they really are? I think some party members might have second thoughts about the wisdom of such destructive tactics as hastening a decline in the party’s fortunes, come next election time anyway.
