Petraeus, star on battlefield, felled at CIA by affair

I do not approve of infidelity. I do not approve of “open marriages” which promote infidelity. But I also do not approve of losing an extremely capable and dedicated public servant because of a mistake. We all make mistakes and we are going to be benched everytime we do, the team on the field os going to look very thin.

Hmm, okay, so what? The question is, who’s NOT involved in an extra marital affair, or has been in the past? Who cares?

President Clinton was an adulterer but for some strange reason millions still idolize him. You can bet the farm there’s more to this story than meets the eye.

@sjfella, No reason you can not idolize Petraeus. He was a great military leader, and in fact one could argue that his leadership is even greater now because he accepted responsibility for his mistakes.

The bigger story here maybe what kind of access his biographer, with whom he had the affair, had to classified info, either with his permission or without. There is an active FBI investigation about this.

On a side not, as a man I can see why Patraeus had the affair, the woman, whose name escapes me right now, is not only drop dead gorgeous, but seems like a very intelligent person. (saw her interview on ‘the Daily Show’ earlier this year)

Well Prag she is definitely attractive but DDG I don’t think so but forget that. Here again the Liberal left wing elitist Dem’s are trying to Demonize the General when we have criminals leading our country right now. The person who said now they may try to kill him could be right. Not like the US gov’t or the powers that are really in control have not taken out a General before. Patton killed by a runaway jeep and then they removed Mac Arthur from his duties in Korea. I’m probably missing many others.
