The headline should read like this:

Israeli response to attack on patrol wounds at least 16.

Your headline is misleading as usual.

The insistence that all Israeli attacks are “responses” to previous aggression is ill-founded.

The headline could also read:

“Good job, shooting fish in a barrel. Again!”

It’s been reported that the shell hit a house where a funeral was being held. In response to a supposed attack on a military jeep, Israel bombs a home. This is just proof of the thorough incompetence of the Israeli army. Attacks on militants just don’t work as a “deterrent” anymore — thus Israel targets civilians. That’s why there’ve been so many civilian deaths in 2006 Lebanon and 2009 Gaza: because that’s the way Israel establishes carries out its wars now.

It also doesn’t mention that Palestinians fired first, and harder, and that Israel has every right to edfend itslef in these circumstances. Why is it that everyone is so quick to condemn a country that is in defense mode for defending itself against aggressors, yet, you all place Hamas on a pedestal for attacking in the first place? Chances are, the information in the article is wrong and the facts are probably incorrect. Good thing for all of you haters that Israel has shown incredible restraint in dealing with this issue and has not acted in the way that the US probably would in similar circumstances.

Hey, the Gazans aren’t treating Israel any differently than Hamas treats the Gazans!

Another slanted article against Israel. The Muslim author makes Israel out to be the aggressor. I wonder what the U.S. would do if a military patrol along the Mexican border were attacked with an anti-tank missile?

Another thing: Israel does not target civilians, unlike the terrorists in Gaza. The Muslim writer does not distinguish between terrorists killed and civilians unfortunately killed when the terrorists use them as human shields.

Another thing: When the Muslim author writes about casualties from the Gaza operation, he does not distinguish between terrorists killed and civilians. Israel did more than any nation in history to prevent and minimize civilian casualties. The terrorists are responsible for their deaths. Moreover, they launch missiles into Israeli cities and schools.

Should I export more from Reuters?

I used to be fairly pro-Palestinian but how can Hamas keep going on about the ‘occupation’ when Israel quit Gaza? They left! The occupation is over for Gaza. If the people in the West Bank want to resist the occupation, they have every right. But the West Bank seems quite in comparison. Israel needs to quit the West Bank as well, then the occupation will be over. Then anyone who attacks Israel will not have the high moral ground, they will be simple war-mongers. If Hamas really believes they will eliminate Israel, they are dreaming. Sooner or later they will push to far and Israel will push them into the sea.

I predict within a decade or two of a ‘Palestinian’ state being formed, Gaza and the West Bank will split into two countries.

AFFS86, from that same page you linked, “If FAIR had included the next paragraph in that Times article you would see that the headline was accurate”

“It’s been reported… in response to a supposed… this is proof” – Do you really think we are all that stupid?

Totally shameful that the whole world looks on these atrocities and does nothing, no doubt there is so much anti semetism worldwide. Reporting slanted by reuters I’m not so sure about that, but it is a bit over the top.
