Disgusting and pathetic the BBC of all things covering up the news instead of exposing it. Too much political control of the organization without a clue as to integrity. Really, they can do much better. Who in the government is behind the appointments and coverups???? Same folks bringing you ruin with austerity no doubt. Mr. Cameron is doing a lousy job and will if left unchecked destroy not on the economy but maybe the BBC as well.

I am sorry about this. The real problem with BBC currently is that they are pushing a radically liberal social agenda including prominent focus on Gay rights, minority group focus and other social issues at the cost of its former wonderful policy of a mature and responsible coverage of the news. Now the news programs which i used to listen to every night sound like a campaign for liberal values and focus on Africa, the Middle East and radical social agendas. I am glad if this in house crisis brings back traditional journalism with its focus in facts, events and actual news instead of trying to force a liberal view.

Now if the heads of the Propaganda arm of the Democratic Socialist National Committee, ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN would do the same or preferably and literally fall on their swords for foisting off Obama on the USA it’d be a start to rectifying what’s wrong in the world.

On Reuters the title is merely, “BBC chief quits over ‘shoddy journalism’ failures”. That would be great if that meant the false headlines that mislead tens of millions to billions, indirectly, about atheists seeing stars being formed, invisible matter thingies in the sky and magic evolution fossils from millions and billions of imaginary years ago from the magic conveniently billions and billions of years old big bomb, all theories that only have evidence against them, not for them, but obviously this about the so called “pedophile” scandal, which is really a sexual harassment of young women scandal. Yet one more lie for the BBC chief before he leaves, how dishonorable of him. Instead he does something half decent, “steps down” from the BBC over a typical false accusation from other liars, just not the new accusations about the sexual harassment scandal. How about giving the falsely accused child-molester, who no doubt had his life ruined, a few million over the supposed false accusations? Did he do that? The God-hater apparently can hardly be more moral than the exposed men that were under him. May God save him and his victims if possible.

@Marlboro Mainline meaning? Do you mean Calvary Chapel? That’s hardly liberal. Do you mean the Catholics and Episcopalians? That’s not easily said to be liberal either, although they are very divided up over homosexuality, which part of the Sinner’s Creed (the liberals’ dogma). Do you mean the tongues obsessed Pentecostals who think they can only know if they’ve been forgiven if they speak in “tongues”? Do you mean the PCUSA, which is liberal? It would have been simpler if you just said, “Liberal Churches”.

Another failure of NPR to deliver unbiased news is the NPR programming of BBC “news” “reporting”. Omissions, half-truths, puff pieces on liberal Democrat candidates are the open sore of BBC “stories”. Propaganda is a euphemism for the BBC masquerade.

Conservatism & Liberalism have nothing to do with this issue.

News reporting, also known as journalism, depends for its funding from ads, and its success rating on circulation. It is a business, and that is its fundamental problem.

Journalists are also pressed in producing ‘hot’ news, and just like today’s Wall Street traders, they will be easily enticed to be unethical & even criminal. It is profitable.

Capitalism in its present form is taking us to hell.

I am so happy my £145/year “license” fee (i.e., TV tax) goes towards this shite, and I don’t even watch the BBC. Not only does the BBC not produce a thing worth watching, but now I find out I am paying paedophiles and those covering for them. I’m thinking to just ditch the TV and the license fee. No more. Let the BBC drown in its own sick.

Reminds me of the Sandusky affair here in the USA. The press has become a joke and a bad one at that. If they worked as hard FOR the people as they do for their cocktail party friends they would be respected and admire. As it is, they should be condemned and mocked. They have gotten away with their corruption for far too long.

The minor detail that Britain is preparing armed forces for use in Syria is completely buried by this contrived spectacle. It reminds me a bit of how Tony B Liar similarly would make a big noise about topics such as banning fox hunting and banning smoking, which would make huge headlines… while his bank deregulation hardly got a mention, and never a prominent mention.
Smoke and mirrors in action. Look at that!!! Over there!!!! (we don’t want you to see what we’re up to over here).

There is very little respect for mainstream media anywhere today. Yellow journalism, especially in the UK, and political activism is so rampart, the the public no longer believes anything they say.

I guess it’s up to us to do our own research on the internet, although crazy bloggers abound there, to try to get to the truth of the matter. We certainly can no longer rely on the media to give us straight up, unfarnished news.

I can understand why many are so angry with the BBC. However, as an American, I can say this: at least someone is taking responsibility. You will NEVER see that in American journalism. You have to only look at stories relating to the “Fast and Furious” scandal and Benghazi stories to see that.

So the BBC runs stories without fact checking or interviewing the principals involved? They ruin reputations, spread lies, hurt innocent people? Surely if this story is not literally true, isn’t enough of it true about someone, somewhere, to justify running the story? Is there something wrong with this style of ‘journalism’? This behavior describes the BBC’s behavior towards Israel at least since 1982 — one sided, negative, highly selective, and prejudicial.

I’ve come to believe that is baseline for the BBC — business as usual. To those now whining about structural problems in the BBC, I’m sceptical. I think the real problem has nothing to do with its immoral and malicious behavior. I think the real issue is whose ox is being gored. Like bullies everywhere, the BBC can dish it out, but they can’t take it.
