Kudos to Mr. Abbas for his steadfast determination amd courage in the face of opposition from the pro-Israeli West. Any negotiations between the Palastinian Authority and Israel will be fruitless as long as Israel insists on always getting more than what is rightfully theirs.

This comes after the sheik (ruler) of Qattar’s visit to the palestinians, who must have voiced unequivocal support of a palestinian statehood and eventually finacial support. I certainly think there is a connection here.

Israel will not be happy until Palestine no longer exists, and is instead one huge Israeli ‘settlement’.

If Abbas goes to the UN, he will not get statehood or full membership as that would require the SC to agree, and the US will obey Israel as usual. Even so, the GA voting in favour of Palestinian statehood (almost a certainty) will be hugely embarrassing for Israel.
