And as I recall Putin openly backed Obama and opposed Romney for our election. Obama stated, at a time that he thought the mic was off, told then Russian President Medvedev to tell Vladimir Putin that after his re-election he will have “space” to give the Russians what they want on US missile defense. Putin is pro Obama, and Obama is pro Putin. He congratulated him on his election victory even as thousands protested what they thought was fixed elections.
