When the DPJ ran for election three years ago they promised higher payouts and even to eliminated higheway toll charges. But looking back at the last 6 Prime Ministers, they were given fairly high approval ratings upon taking office yet within a year their approval ratings went down rapidly till they are replaced by another. One huge question is this. With a fickle electorate like this how can anyone really focus on long-term solutions, or unpopular policy initiatives? So politicians promise the moon and then do not deliver and get kicked out. So they deserve each other. What about the huge elite corporations? Don’t they have wise heads somewhere? Yet the Keidanren has not been in any dust-up to shake the small-minded politicians.
