Syria will prevail, must pevail, against the obscurantist despots of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, two puppets sponsored by the USA. Compare women’s fate in Syria and the kingdom of the geriatric dictators (Saudi Arabia). Compare religious minorities’ fate in Syria and the US base of Qatar.

How can Ibn Saud lecture the Syrians on democracy? Human rights? Sovereignty? How can a bunch of traitor haters call themself revolutionaries while sitting at the table of these despots in Doha or Paris?

You are way out of touch with reality! I think You need to do your homework. It is Assad that killed most of his own people including elements of the resistance movement. He is possessed by Satan I am sure.
He is no longer a Legitimate Government and he will do anything to try to stay in Syria but he only has his army loyalists left and shame on them all!

Syria is on the table and the U.S., Britain, and it’s puppets are pushing Syria so they can get to Iran, as well as diminish Russia’s influence in the area. There are other reasons as well but those are two of the biggies.

Do not believe the interest of the west in Syria has to do with saving innocent peoples from an evil Assad. Many of the people being killed in Syria are being killed by the western funded ‘rebels’.

And mcanterel, I’m not sure Reuters ever had it to lose it. It’s been a war propagandist’s tool since I’ve been reading it and likely long before. A good unbiased intelligent article on here is the rare.

But you’re right. Syria must prevail, if it falls (and sadly it likely will as those against it are hell bent on succeeding) we’re very likely going to see a much wider war.

How many then? 50,000? 20,000?
Am I also swallowing propaganda about airstrikes, bombardments that never took place and snipers who never shot anyone?
Are you actually claiming that the rebels killed more civilians than Bashar? or is my imagination?
I understand that the west is vying for dominance VS Russia, Iran and China but this doesn’t mean the rebels are wrong and Bashar is right. No way.

While they are sending murderers to kill innocents in Syria, they are also busy keeping tab of the dead. But as usual they lie.

How many died? 60,000? How did this number jump from 46,000 to 60,000? This is a made up number. The fact that it ends with 00000 is proof. It has been rounded to the nearest 30,000.

Now even if you are a fool and accept this number, are you dumb enough to say, Assad killed 60,000 people?

So the other side which is targeting schools, police officers, anyone associated with the government has killed no one?

Saudi Arabia,Qatar, Turkey have been sending weapons and fighters to Syria, what have they been doing to syrian people if not killing them?

Syria has stopped making public security forces and police members killed. Last time it did, over 5,000 were targeted and killed. Have they also been killed by Assad?

The US, France, UK must show their faces and negociate with the syrian government. They must stop deceiving the public by sending terrorists to Syria and lying it’s a popular uprising.

who do you think these rebels are? knights in shining armor rescuing the weak and helpless? These people are terrorists that hide among the innocent civilians and use them as cover…do you think that assad is merely bombing random innocent targets…think about it…would it even make sense to bomb innocent people who aren’t fighting while rebels are trying to overthrow the government…wouldn’t you think that assad would make better use of his military by bombing the rebels? There may be collateral damage…but its because of the coward rebels fighting while hiding among the populace…

The man has lost his grip on reality. It should be clear to him by now that he has lost the ability to govern as well as any legitimacy he may have had. He ought to be negotiating to ensure the safety of the Alawite community, something that the Security Council members can help with once he expresses a readiness to step down.

Whoa… wait a minute… the Syrian government declared victory over “all armed opposition fighters” on March 31, 2012 and cleansed Damascus of all terrorists in mid July… Damascus was actually stated to have been cleansed many times…
So, I am confused… does this mean that most of Syria is not really at peace and the fighting is more than a few armed gangs operating from isolated locations? If so, Mr. Al Assad, aka Cowardly Lion, just stated what the rest of the world has been trying to tell him for the past year and a half… Gee, does anyone else see why I keep saying he deserves the biggest idiot of the century award? For a country that has so many intelligence agencies they are pretty slow.

How many Western Foreign secretaries and defense secretaries and presidents have to cause bloodshed in foreign lands before it comes back to our own countries worse than the small attacks now?

elven_archer, if only you would use reason! Take this number of the dead, the one proclaimed scientifically by the foreign revolutionary propaganda mouthpiece. The SOHR claims that of the 50000 dead, almost 11000 are Syrian military.

Now take a deep breath, and start your brain functions: how can 11000 soldiers die while they are “killing their own people”. If 11000 soldiers were killed in Syria, who killed them? And then, who caused the death of most of the civilians in this case? If the misarmed “rebels” killed 11000 Syrian soldiers, how many rebels did the better armed Syrian Army kill?

So, did you get it? If 11000 French soldiers wee killed in France, would you believe it happened because of a peacefull and reform movement?

Just think about the number: that is the opposition’s own number : 11000 Syrian military personnel were killed by the good guys armed by democratic Saudi Arabia and land of human rights Qatar.

To mcanterel point, if they can kill 11,000 Syrian armed forces, how many unarmed civilians could/did they kill? 20,000? more? If you put the death of insurgents at perhaps 20,000, you have the total casualty number. I would not put collateral damage deaths at the hands of SAA at more than 988(I do not want to use a rounded number of 1,000).

The US and its allies want the casualty to be higher so they can falsely blame it on ASSAD and justify humanitarian intervention.

In August 2011, the fake rebellion was defeated in Bab Amr,Homs. The west has been sending terrorists on killing expeditions in Syria because it refuses to accept defeat. Since August 2011 the West has intervene directly in Syria through Turkey.

Assad wants “Peace”? No, he wants all the Sunnis in “Pieces”. Over 60,000 Sunni citizens dead and he has Russia & Iran to thank. If you idiots think the USA is behind it, why don’t the rebels have descent weapons? We supplied Afganistan during the Soviet occupation and Libya a short time ago. The Saudis could send lots of anti-aircraft missles and armor piercing rounds, but that didn’t happen. The USA is flying low on the radar with this one.

Why would Assad even think about killing his own people? Every wonder why the media always says ‘we cannot independently verify this video or story’ because they know it’s all lies and they say that to cover there backs in case they are asked about why they are siding with terrorists. These terrorists use civilians as human shields then blame the government armed forces for deaths. While most of the daily killings are most likely security personnel or the terrorists themselves. Instead the media loves to say ‘civilians’
If there are terrorists in your country and you were a leader would you really waste your ammunition, time, money on killing or your people or would you take out those terrorists instead?

Here is the “spell” Reuters repeatedly cuts and pastes, posting it from one report to the next:

It is obvious that equating “Syrian government can’t control/protect a region” and “the region is under rebel control” is absolute, total blunder! The region is not under anyone’s control – both rebels and government forces can come and go at their will, there is no administration, etc., etc., etc. The civil life in the region is destroyed, and so are homes and livelihoods of thousands of Syrians in that region.

Why does reuters resort to such a demeaning treatment of its readership? Do they really take us for a cattle? Are we really just like cattle, ready to swallow any bs we are fed (in most part)?
