As the seas warm, malaria-carrying mosquitoes will continue to move Northward. Perhaps now that the disease is afflicting more Northern populations in greater numbers, increased money will flow towards eradication efforts. It will soon no longer just be a disease “of those people”.

It’s a very cynical viewpoint that disgusts me, but unfortunately it’s probably true.
