The conference is being avoided by the US and Israel because their foot-dragging opposition to a WMD free ME will be a huge embarrassment in front of the whole world, and expose their increasing isolation in the world community.

Another reason why Rice shouldn’t be confirmed. Iran is a failure, her dealings with China and Russia are an embarassment.

Another Obama/Clinton/Rice foreign policy failure. This is the most unimaginative and timid administration. What are you going to be remembered for after 8yrs? Syria is in shambles because you could not work with Russia, Iraq is now closer to Iran that ever before and you are racing to leave Afghanistan to Taliban.

Since when does a “ban on nuclear weapons in the Middle East” exempt Israel?? That makes no sense whatsoever. Somehow kosher h-bombs explode in a more “godly” way than Islamic ones??

Either disarm them all, or get out of the region and let them settle it themselves. Let the Russians control it. Or the Chinese. Or the French. Who cares?

It is time the the US Government look after the affairs of its own people and not meddle elsewhere. Here at home, we NEED a Government that works, that keeps its promises to its own people, that can control its own borders, that crushes official corruption and bribery, that makes life better, not worse, for US citizens. We also need to completely recast our Constitution to make “representative” bodies of Government truly representative of human beings rather than of dollars. We need to cut all the myriad of subsidies built into our system. We need to tax more those who have more money, and less those who have little money.

We most certainly do not need to pay for foreign armies and governments, or to pay for military forces to prop up governments of other countries. Get out of Afghanistan this week! Show the American people we have an alternative to cutting military spending by 90% for controlling unending foreign wars in places 90% of the people care nothing about. If the child will not stop playing with the loaded gun, take it away.
