The Republicans are already trying to throw a monkey wrench into the recovery from Sandy. They will have to “scrub” the relief bill carefully. You think?? What a bun ch of baloney as they again try to interfere with disaster relief. Remember their last stab at this was Hurricane Katrina with “Your’e doin a heckofa job Brownie” followed by Brownie opening his mouth to criticize President Obama for acting too quickly on Hurricane Sandy. Those Republicans are all heart. Hopefully the American people will continue to dump them as fast as possible in the future so we can have sanity in government. No, State governments alone can’t handle these mega-multiple state disasters that are overwhelming in scope. That’s a job for the Federal Government like the Army, Navy and Air Force. Using their warped views, next thing you know these Republicans will advocate for state by state a state by state army, navy and air force. Wow won’t that by a doozy? individual. Blockheads are incapable of meeting the challenges faced in the 21st century.

I’m with Bfstk…..let’s just approve whatever gets requested and write a check. It’s probably better to do that than to scrub the bill because I’m a big believer that I can trust all politicians to act with integrity when it comes to spending our money

And offset the spending from where? You guessed it, nowhere. Just borrow more from China. Seems that nothing is paid for any more, just borrowed. What a price we will eventually pay.

Gotta agree with TakeFromRich and actnow. It’s truly a tragedy, and we all need to help those in need from this disaster, but where’s the money going to come from?
