Obama aides seek to counter Republican charges on "fiscal cliff"

Too lite on spending cuts? What spending cuts? Obama’s plan is simply to raise $1.5 trillion with tax increases on families making $250,000 or more. Oddly, Obama wants to spare those making less because not extending tax cuts on those people would hurt the economy. If this argument doesn’t convince people that Obama is a partisan Socialist with no real understanding of what causes an economy to grow or retract, nothing will.

BTW: Before you counter, any spending cuts suggested by Obama are either already in place (ramping down the wars in Iraq etc.) or are simply concepts to be discussed in 2013.

No surprise the republicans are protecting the funnel of wealth flowing into Wall Street. Wall Street needs to be taxed the same as Main Street!
