The housing settlement policy of the Jewish population in Israel is patently hideous …. it is designed to slowly, but deliberately, overrun or effectively drive out the Palestinians from their very own land in pursuit of a “greater secure Israel”. The thinking is that once the land is colonized there can be no going back. If only life were so simple.

Instead of fostering peace and security this policy of land theft only further inflames the Palestinians – making them all the more willing to fight back anyway they can, even if it involves terrorism and showering Israel with rockets.

You can not create peace by continually provoking your enemies.
The two sides have to start respecting each other.

what a buch of a$$holes – “we reserve the right to defend ourselves” No you don’t. A bully that moves into your house and “defends” himself against the owner has no rights.

This is very reminiscent of how in the 19th century the Prussian farm owners displaced the Polish farmers from their land, by simply making it impossible for them to function through rules and regulations… But Poles finally got the land back… You can’t oppress people forever….

May God bless you, Palestinians!

Perhaps Netanyahu watched a lot of Westerns and he thinks it’s ok to push the Indians/Palestinians into crappy land reserves while taking the good land.

Eventually the Indians bowed their heads and obliged – the Palestinians will to – just have to keep taking the fight out of them.

Zionism needs to be wiped out like Nazism… the world needs to unite once more and defeat another supremacist cult and racist culture.

Where I come from, if something is illegal YOU GET PROSECUTED FOR IT!!!

The fact that these utter criminals can get away with their every crime spits in the face of international law…

How are our children supposed to have any faith in these organizations?? It’s a terrible, disgusting joke!

International law rendered utterly useless at the behest of our global dictators, America! Now you realize that the only UN, and the only international law there is in the world is money and power…

Well you can’t really say we weren’t warned! But every day we are more guilty for permitting these abominations. And yes, the consequences will carry over to your kids and theirs too!

Exactly what Palestinians does Abbas/PLO represent?
In 2006, Hamas won the Palestinian elections.
In 2007, Hamas had a war with Fatah/PLO in Gaza. The PLO lost.
Abbas in Ramallah “dissolved” the government which included Hamas and declared his own.
The WORLD created the Abbas/PLO government.
Israel provided arms for Abbas security forces. Jews and Muslims shop in the same stores in the West Bank. Muslim unemployment in the West Bank is kept low by a thriving Israeli economy that provides jobs. IDF and PLO security forces work together to keep Hamas from eating the PLO alive.
Abbas hasn’t agreed to peace talks in years. Now Abbas is beating his chest and calling for a state in order to keep more of his citizens from moving into the Hamas ranks after their “win” in Gaza.
Yes, there is more building. If the Palestinians don’t want peace, Israel should continue building.
The Land for Peace idea died with Anwar Sadat – killed by the Muslim Brotherhood. That’s the same group that produced Hamas and Morsi.

I agree 100%. Peace is not obtained through theft and racism. For peace in the ME, good people of the world need to overcome Zionism.

Indeed, if the recent US pro-Palestine UN vote is a good indication of world opinion on Zionism, 94% of the world is already against it.

Even in the US, most Americans appear to be non-supporters of Zionism. It is just the idiotic, corrupt Congress and Administration, the only choices given to the people by the .01%, who promote the Zionist travesty of international justice.

Trouble is: most Americans are in the thrall of the .01% money bags and corporations. How to get past this is the challenge of our times.
We can’t expect the .01% to lead us peacefully out of the present mess, since they, and their system, only really know how to make money, for themselves.

Does anybody still believe that Israel wants peace?

Actions speak louder than words, and Israeli actions tell us that Israel wants to wipe Palestine off the map, along with the Palestinians who live in it.

They cannot achieve this through peace, so peace is not in the Israeli interest. They need conflict so they can continue grabbing land for their so-called settlements, and so they can keep ‘defending themselves’ by slaughtering Palestinian civilians.

The price they pay for this aggression is trivial. Palestinian ‘attacks’ kill hardly anybody. More Israelis are killed by other Israelis than are killed by Palestinian ‘attacks’. In fact, more Israelis kill themselves than get killed by Palestinians. In short, the numbers killed by Palestinian ‘attacks’ are so small they are less than the background noise of Israelis killed by cars or household noise.

Israeli has little to lose and a lot to gain by avoiding peace, and that is exactly what they are doing – avoiding peace.

This is fine, but if Israel has enough money to build/defend settlements, they can pony up enough cash for Iron Dome. The US should pull funding from Israel. Other than this, I 110% support Israel (hopefully the rockets have ended, but if another one comes from Gaza, Israel needs to drop leaflets to clear residents from a 1 km square around the launchpad, then carpet bomb the area into a sand lot).

The Palestinians have formally recognized the State of Israel.
The Israelis refuse to recognize the new State of Palestine.

The Palestinians are making claims based on established international law.
The Israelis are making claims based on interpretations of their particular religious texts, and ignoring international law.

The Palestinians are seeking universal basic human rights.
The Israelis are committing human rights violations.

The Palestinians are proceeding with multilateral diplomacy.
The Israelis are proceeding with unilateral delinquency.

No wonder the world supports the Palestinians.

Jossef,
No matter what historical arguments you put forward, true or false or cherry-picked, 138+41=179 nations on the planet have chosen to legitimize the State of Palestine. There IS NO going back. Get over it!!

These nations have expressed, loud and clear, that Palestinian claims are valid and Israeli claims are not.
