Wall Street Week Ahead: "Cliff" worries may drive tax selling

All major stock investors ALWAYS sell at the end of December for tax purposes. They sell off, the stock goes down, they pay less in taxes or they get a deduction. Then they buy the same stock back right after New Years, the stock goes up because of the buying, and they are right back where they were at the end of December, but with big tax gains.
This is nothing new. This is what they teach you in college regarding the stock market. This has NOTHING to do with the so called Fiscal Cliff, but it has everything to do with wealthy people trying to avoid paying taxes.
