there is absolutely no reason to remove the GPS tracking device from him…unless, of course, he is going to try to argue that the police that can monitor his position using the device are “out to get him”. The fact that he and his wife lied about finances proves he was and still is a flight risk.

Thanks to the media (this outlet included), Zimmerman and his family is in danger of being assaulted and/or murdered by knuckle-dragging morons like the Black Panthers, who placed a bounty on his head. Nice to see due process in action.

I think having a GPS monitor is a fair trade off than being thrown in jail until your trial. If you’re in jail, you typically can’t ask to leave because it’s cramping your style. Enjoy your freedom buddy. I’ll send you a tee-shirt that says “I joined neighborhood watch and all I got was this stupid GPS monitor”. Try not to shoot any urban youths on the way to your trial.

So… you have not been found guilty of any crime…
But should still have your freedom restricted?

If that’s how we’re doing things, then I think free speech should be restricted to those with IQ’s over 120.

Ok the election is over. This man needs to be tried (and let go) or just let go. This has been drawn out far too long. And all black panthers need gps on them, what ever they are up to worries me a little more than anything Zimmy is going to do. Jessie, Al, barak and the gang as well. No I am not racist. They are.

Being remanded until trial is pretty commen, axis. Of course, you know that. I’m curious why you didn’t throw Obama’s name in there, somewhere.

Thanks to the media (this outlet included), Zimmerman is now being asked to account for his actions and not just make a verbal claim of self defense and get sent on his way. He killed someone, he killed someone, he killed someone. What part of this is hard to understand.

Look at that picture. Pretty muscular looking guy, eh?

Does that look like someone who needed a gun to defend himself against a 17 year old (that he was stalking?)

First, yes, I think he should keep wearing the GPS, which is what this story is about. But to your comment…

The police reports and Martin’s own family remarks vary a little, but indicate Martin at a height between 6′ and 6’3″ with a weight between
150 and 160 lbs. Zimmerman’s arrest report shows him at 5’9″ 200 lbs, and now he has slimmed down to about 170.

It’s really not so simple as to just look at weight. You are looking at him now, and he has trimmed down. The original photos around the time of the arrest show a guy is who is kind of, well, fat and not in shape. He’s older, slower, fatter, shorter. So yes, I think a strong young kid who is taller could be a formidable opponent against him.

Beats me what will happen to this guy. There are no real witnesses, so I doubt he can be convicted.

The judge is biased. Either refund his bail or remove the GPS.

Seriously! Thank You judge for that good call. Zimmerman and his wife raised a ton of cash on line in their attempt to raise funds for his defense, then hid it and lied about it.
He tracked down this young man, maybe words were said, some smart alec retorts from kid, I dunno. But the police on the phone to Zimmerman said do not persue. and the kid ends up dead. Stand your ground on what basis? We can’t just make people who are unarmed dead and not have to answer some questions, yo.

Here we go again…. Some of you conveniently forget facts like ..Mr Martin was within 150 feet of being safely at home even if Mr Zimmerman was stalking him, which he was not. Martin, instead, chose to circle back and attack Mr. Zimmerman as he returned to his vehicle. All backed up by the 911 tape. Mr. Zimmerman had a bloody nose and scrapes and blood on the back of his head. Also fully documented. Y’all can second guess this all you want but it doesn’t change the facts. Y’all may have watched three million episodes of CSI but that doesn’t make you an ‘expert’ at anything except sitting on you couch.
