I know this 32 year old white woman who has 6 children all my different men. the government better come to the south maybe their figures would change. I know another 26 year old white girl who had 8 children all by different white men. all the children born in succession. so theres 14 white kids.

Depending on what is considered “white”, this may have already happened. Anglo whites don’t consider Italians or the Irish “white”, based on 100+ years of bigotry, and what about those that are mixed race. Seems that German + Native American are a popular mix… they’re not white either, nor are those who are children from other interracial marriages. I think the “white” population has already become less than the major population in the US.

who will pay for welfare for the non whites? as soon as the welfare stops so will the non white population.

The fact that there are more white folks on welfare than other group is constantly ignored. Look it up.

So George Zimmerman isn’t white, he is hispanic. The US Census and Reuters plays the race card both ways it seems. If it is negative, you are white, if it is positive you are hispanic… On another note. We need to start giving preference to Caucasians for jobs and universities soon.

Well, who didn’t see this coming?? Pay attention to the television commercials and catalogs and Christmas fliers..any one of them is filled with blacks or multicultural models and actors. This is the future of America, good or bad.

So now we can get rid of affirmative action! Wait, maybe we will need to reverse it so the whites get helped out…

I think this trend makes a lot of whites nervous, but I look at it much differently. I actually see it as positive and could make the difference as to whether or not this country continues to thrive.

A lot of the fears whites have are based on misconceptions and negative stereotypes, much like the prejudices held against the Irish and other European immigrants during the 19th and early 20th centuries. I’ve spent a lot of time around people of various races and one thing I’ve found is that they react to different situations pretty much the same way whites do. Also, there is a wide variety of people within each race or nationality, or any other way you want to divide people. Each has good and bad.

That said, as this nebulous coalition of minorities become the majority, and as they gain power, wealth, and influence, they’ll also be gaining responsibility. These future leaders of America will want their country to succeed just like our leaders of the past.

There will certainly be a lot of change and social upheaval, and a lot of that will come from beyond our borders, but the goal will be success. A lot of conservatives think that minorities are lazy, don’t want to better themselves, and just want to tax successful people into oblivion while living off the government teat, but I think that’s just ridiculous ignorance. This belief by many (certainly not all) conservatives exposes its perverse self over and over again in their irrational hatred toward Obama, who is really a decent human being whether you agree with his policies or not. Nor is there anything radical about his policies or his governing style. Like I said, the hatred, and the accompanying lies, are irrational, and project a boorish ignorance, and fear.

Generally speaking, people want to do well. They want to work hard and have good lives. The important thing is that people have opportunities, something Obama talks a lot about. And this gets to the need we currently have for change and why I see our changing demographics as a positive, hopeful development. Our country has reached that point that most major powers eventually reach, where those in power get greedy and start abusing their power to acquire more power, and more wealth at the expense of the country’s citizens. It happened here before, during the 1920s, but I think it’s worse this time, and won’t be easy to remedy. It just happens that those doing it, in this particular version of history repeating itself, are Caucasian, mostly male. It doesn’t mean all white people are bad. But it does mean that whites are susceptible to greed just like every other race. So I’m hopeful that the rational whites will help build a coalition with other races and bring this nation back to a sane course that will reestablish justice, civility, fairness, and a better sense of us all being in this together and that we’d better work together if we want to make the Great American Experiment succeed. Something has to change, and soon, because we’re on a very dangerous downward spiral.

Eventually whites will become an endangered species. Are they going to be protected, nurtured, pampered or thrown into the colored den?

These rac!st comments embarrass me as an American. We clearly have a long way to go. If you are not rac!st, then you have nothing to fear.

boreal: It’s mostly white conservatives who think like that. Most other people aren’t so hung up on the color of a person’s skin. Whites will be treated like everyone else. Maybe that’s what you’re really afraid of.

Why is this news? Why is this important news? Why does the US CENSUS BUREAU continue to work on this analysis? We are a country of individuals and not a country of groups
