Blaming guns for the recent tragedy in Conn. is like blaming forks for being fat or a car for a wreck. None of these things function without an irresponsible person causing the problem. Most of these shooting tragedies are carried out by young males loners who don’t seem to blend in society very well. Maybe it is time to recognize certain characteristics and try to deal with these before people before they commit mass murder. I also believe that the way violence is glamourized in movies, television and video games contributes to mind numbing passiveness about death and destruction. It makes exciting the rapid fire destruction of people and things. It is the people that do these horrible things and thats where the effort to control should be. The usual politicians are lining up for their usual speeches and outrage that blame guns for everything. These tragedies occur far too often and the only time politicians seem to have all the answers is the few days following each tragedy and then silence until the next tragedy. The families of these children in Conn. won’t forget.
you’re right, fedupaj.
even if he didn’t have a semi-automatic, this lunatic would’ve found some way to kill 20 little kids in a matter of minutes. maybe he would have done it with your aforementioned fork. the real irresponsible person here is you.
