The first step for the USA is to publish a schedule for cutting off all of the hundreds and thousands of “preferences” (read, American tax money) for Israel if it does not show substantial progress in coming to an accommodation with its non-Jewish residents and neighbors. Why should Americans have their Food Stamps cut back to miserable levels so the money can be spent on high-dollar walled condo developments that stir up continued trouble in Israel / Palestine? This 1948 habit of the “Greatest” Generation needs to be stopped.

No progress, no money. Period.

If the “Palestinians” want Israel to stop building in its capital, then they need to do what President Abbas promised and return to the negotiation table without preconditions now that they have the UN GA rubber stamp. Once he negotiates final boarders there is nothing to stop either side building inside their boarders.

But to Fix some facts:

In 1967 Israel liberated half of Jerusalem from Jordanian occupation and ethnic cleansing. Jews had lived in that part of Jerusalem for over 3,000 years.

Palestinians are Jews who were born under the British Mandate (it says so in their birth certificate) the Arabs who are calling themselves Palestinians are misusing the name to confuse people.

US aide to Israel is the only aide that the US gives that pays the US back with jobs for Americans and technology for use by Americans (including the military). It is also the only aide going to a country that does not have people burning American flags, blowing up American bases, etc.

Israelis and Palestinians right now occupy the same land – get along and stop bringing the world down with your stupid stubborn religious blood rights. Eric_Klein – the argument that “Jews” have lived – anywhere – is not an argument that all people who claim they are “Jews” have an automatic right to anything they claim. The Israelis seem to nurse open-ended pretensions to territory that may never be satisfied.

You and the Israeli’s have a very lenient, blind and rather foolish definition of the “Will of God”. God is not in his heaven and all is definitely not right with the world.

You make the Taliban – as brutal and narrow-minded, as they are – look sane by comparison. They, at least, are Afghans who can claim the country as their legitimate home since time immemorial. Their religious influence may be pernicious (and growing) but they seem to have been satisfied with established boundaries. The Israelis, on the other hand, have nearly lost all spiritual and moral credibility, and substitute an appetite for real estate in its place.

There was no Jewish state. The Jewish state stopped existing in 750BC when the Assyrians took over. Between then and 1948 Israel did not exist. There was no Israel. There was no Jewish state.

There was, in contrast, a land of Palestine.

Caliph Umar, followed by the Ummayad Caliphs, followed by the Abassid Caliphs, followed by the Fatimid Dynasty, followed by Saljuqs.

That makes 5.

Then there were the Mamluks, followed by Muhammed Ali, and then his son Ibrahim Pasha.

Now your turn: Name 5 Israeli kings or presidents prior to 1948.

So what did they call their Nation back then, United Monarchy or Kingdom of Israel?

From Wiki: David succeeded in truly unifying the Israelite tribes, and set up a monarchical government. He embarked on successful military campaigns against Israel’s enemies, and defeated nearby regional entities such as the Philistines, thus creating secure borders for Israel. Under David, Israel grew into a regional power. Under the House of David, the united Kingdom of Israel achieved prosperity and superiority over its neighbours.

I see that you chose to ignore that ‘this article has multiple issues’ warning at the top of your Wiki page. We all know that Zionists like to pretend that the United Monarchy was Israel, and then when it split apart the northern part was still Israel, and then when the Romans arrived and called it Judah, the southern part became Israel.

They do this to avoid reality. Historic Israel (in contrast to the fictitious Zionist Israel) was an insignificant little country that lasted less than two hundred years, disappeared in 720BC, and simply didn’t exist for the next 2,700 years or so. If there was ever a country that was ‘invented’ with no historic existence, it is Israel.

Google ‘Partition Plan’ and learn something…

You will find, in Part one: “3. Independent Arab and Jewish States and the Special International Regime for the City of Jerusalem, set forth in part III of this plan, shall come into existence in Palestine two months after the evacuation of the armed forces of the mandatory Power has been completed but in any case not later than 1 October 1948. The boundaries of the Arab State, the Jewish State, and the City of Jerusalem shall be as described in parts II and III below.”

Let me explain it to you. The UN, when it created the Jewish state, also created the Arab state… the same one that you are pretending doesn’t exist and never did. Note that it says “shall come into existence in Palestine” Can you see where it says “in Palestine”? The only way that can be true is if Palestine already existed at the time of writing. In other words, when this was written Palestine existed and Israel didn’t. That sinks your argument…

You will also find, in section 5, a detailed description of exactly where those boundaries are.

Now, get a map. Compare the boundaries laid out by the UN, and the boundaries now. The difference is Palestinian land being illegally occupied by Israel. Illegaly, because your Neanderthal notion of ‘might is right’ is no longer legal and hasn’t been for around 100 years.

Territory obtained by force is illegally held. That should be an easy concept to understand. In simple terms you might understand, any country (Including Israel. Israelis are not above the law.) has a right to defend its borders. No country has a right to expand those borders through war.

Palestine does recognise Israel. Saying they don’t is a flat out lie. The *only* obstruction to peace is the illegally occupied territory held by Israel, and Israel’s refusal to return it or stop building illegal settlements on it is a clear indication that Israel does not want peace.
