Reuters has an article about slow sales in the EU. One bright spot was food, something everyone needs regardless of economic problems. The other growth was on-line sales, but these are for bargain hunters, so earnings will not be high.

There is another Reuters article about Chinese shoppers picking up the pace there, but their economy is growing over 7.5% this year. The US needs that kind of growth to return to prosperity. I make and sell products in various countries, so I am concerned about global consumers and what they need or want.
