Al Jazeera inherits Current TV's distribution woes

Time-Warner lead the pack in providing crap instead of journalism. Why would they allow competition with an international reputation into their captive ghetto?

I hope the other carriers demonstrate a bit more respect for both the bill of rights – and consumers who want more than grits and grease for breakfast.

Al Jazeera is a great network. we should not just judge based on their coverage of the Iraq war, 80% of the world did not support it. Try to keep an open mind, if nothing they will provide insight into mainstream Arab socioeconomic thought. If you like to learn what people think and how they formulate their decision making process, feel free to follow non-local, non fox based news sources. Plus, if you do already, it’s funny how little they follow, Qatari-domestic political conflicts.

Sounds like the perfect venue for DNC broadcasts to reach its core constituency.

Al Jazeera is a great network. They have always carried the best, exclusive jihadi segments from our friends Muhammad, Omar and Sadeek.

Just think back during the gulf war. There was only one network giving Al Qaeda its much needed voice. We got to see speeches and fatwas from Osama and his pals thanks to them.

Seems like a natural alliance since Current TV is the media arm of a domestic terror organization and Al Jazeera is the media arm of an overseas terror organization. They should get along famously.

Never before have so few owned so much news media and recognizing flagrant conflict of interest this is so wrong. News media holds history of being a nation’s conscience and as such must be free from control by special interests. Show me a nation that once had fair media and I’ll show you a nation that once had good government!

When News breaks that has world wide implication I like to go to their on line site to get a perspective that in not American centric.

Are you kidding me? WJL you are saying Americans are scared of real freedom of speech? No Americans have fought and died for our freedom of speech so that people like you can say such a stupid thing. Americans need to stop being so afraid of hurting peoples feelings and say what needs to be said. This is America we love our country, if you don’t then by all means leave. I have Dish and I will ignore Current for another 2 years if they last that long. If Dish does not cancel them when their contract runs out, I will cancel my Dish service. I will not use my American money to support anti-american speech.

It is time for the Israeli propaganda machine to take its foot off the throat of American media.

Those of you who have more loyalty to Israel than to the USA are Israelis, not Americans. It does not matter what you have done to advance Israel. That matters in Israel, not here. It does not matter if pro-Israel American citizens approve of you. What matters is America. What matters is your respect for your fellow citizens. Your respect for our Constitution.

If people who have a license to use public property, which means broadcast spectrum, do not use that spectrum in a manner that promotes the public interest, which most definitely includes freedom of speech and opinion, then those licenses are, by law, null and void. Even if you do not want to permit them to speak. Other people’s rights are not up to you, got it?

America has never fought for freedom. It joined World War 2 after it was clear that it was the next target for the Axis powers after UK and Europe. It started wars to install puppet regimes under its control. It instigates civil riots and ethnic hatred in foreign nations to sell arms in a divide and conquer strategy. Its government and economic structure are now controlled by its military industrial interests who do not give a damn about America as long as they make money.

Its media are full of racists with CIA agents embedded in the editorial departments constantly brainwashing naive Americans like you.

Should have seen the reaction from FOX, I guess they have competition now. Stupidity is an afliction, democracy is contagious, I guess americans will be waking up to a new reality other than “Honey Boo Boo”. Democracy eludes america, 2 topics are off the table from any crticism, NRA and AIPAC. NRA is a topic now opening up and next we all know what it will be.
