Oh Brigitte :((

You want to see how circus elephants, and other circus animals, are treated here in Russia? :((

Go to Murmansk to see the ‘Dolphinarium’. What a hell-hole it is.

Cannot help agree with some of her causes, but I sure would not take Russian citizenship as a cure~all.

Russia is not part of the EU, so I’m confused by her and Depardieu’s actions. Why not another EU country? Or is it all the same these days.

She was not serious about moving to Russia; she was only saying that in order to get publicity for the issue. She wanted to help the elephants, so she got publicity by threatening to move to Russia. It was actually perfectly logical.

Let Bardot move to Russia and enjoy the legal system, justice system and medical care system she deserves with the Russian taxes she will pay. It costs a lot to provide France’s medical care, highways, justice system, legal system and national defense. If Bardot does not want to pull her weight, let her move to Russia.

And the same thing for companies like Amazon and Starbucks that shuffle their profits out of France and other normal countries (the countries providing their profits) and into tax havens (countries that provide them nothing but a tax haven).

i love Brigitte. And thank you for drawing attention to the plight of elephants (even though I think it a bit misguided to apply for Russian citizenship as the solution). I have been dismayed by the advancement of African elephant poaching in the last few years to unprecedented levels — we are looking at the total annihilation of the species in the wild within the next decade if poaching continues in current numbers. Circuses in general are prone to abhorrent elephant abuse (just last week video was released showing an elephant in England being beaten and chained by its trainer…). Bravo, Brigitte, for raising your voice in defense of those who cannot speak to address the cruelty they receive. I hope you lend your voice to important non-profits dedicated to saving these majestic beasts as well. Would be a wonderful way to make a difference. :)

I think the American rich are smarter than the French rich. Our rich left the country BEFORE their tax rates went up.
