Yeah, this “transparent” admistration has done everything they can to keep from telling the truth about what happened. If this had happened when the Republicans were in charge the media would be all over this like flies on a cow pie.

I am not sure what Graham would have done after the 2003 “Mission Accomplished” of George Bush, if he’s this annoyed that Obama downplayed Benghazi to promote its policy objectives. Why does our President have a department for Press Secretary, if not to promote a set goals. As a democrat, I liked Graham, but he appears to be carrying the agenda for Grumpy old McCain.

The more republicans do this, the more they lose. Unless, that is, you still believe in Rasmussen polls. And losing means winning. Good times. GOP huddles in Kentucky for plan B, bonks some sticks together.

Certainly, this makes for a good distraction issue. It keeps people from focusing on real things. Unfortunately for the GOPers, the old religious/moralistic, never to be enacted into law issues have grown stale and turned people away from them (better to support a spaghetti monster than their version of god). So now they will have to work on the conspiracy theory end of the “I don’t want to work on real issues” political manipulation methodologies. Of course on the other hand the DFL is silly too. They should just send old Lindsey a couple of page boys, and maybe he wouldn’t be so cranky.

Really? because last I heard those responsible for sending the military and a few trillion dollars (yes a few trillion, the soft cost of war always exceeds the hard cost) got off scott free. In fact, its hasn’t even been a decade since the invasion, and its largely a non-issue today. Over 250 000 people are dead, more are displaced, and people like you seem pretty quick to claim its dust in the wind…but the media is being too easy over the what, 4 people that died at the embassy? Tell you what, if you find 249,996 dead americans hidden away in libya, you can tell me all about the liberal bias media.

The GOP just does not get it. The voters rejected them, the Tea Party, and this whole right wing “go back to the Cold War” thing.

Graham looks worse every time he speaks. They will use any handy issue to try to make trouble — it is so boring. Meanwhile, Obama is trying to run the country — until they make up another issue to throw at him and then claim that he doesnt’ cooperate with them. I’m not sure Republicans can even THINK anymore, they are so busy rooting in the mud..

I think you hit the nail on the head. And these republicans do not care all they want is to hurt the democrats and the American people. I think they should join the taliban for they seem to have more in common with the Taliban and Alqaida than with Americans and any civilized person.

Boy this gets old. Don’t they want to block both Obama’s choices for Defense Sec AND CIA Chief? As I keep saying, the Republicans have become the #1 enemies of the State. Al Qaeda doesn’t even pose the threat to us that the Republicans do. Al Qaeda can’t force our government to become dysfunctional. The more the American people reject the Republicans and their failed policies, the more the Republicans force themselves on us.

So Tillman, a patriotic American was killed during the year of a presidential election. Days after his death the commander McChrystal was informed that Tillman’s death was the result of friendly fire. Despite that McChrystal awarded Tillman posthumously the Silver Star, which is awarded for being killed in combat, a Purple Heart and a promotion. McChrystal’s characterization for the Silver Star was that Tillman was killed “in the line of devastating enemy fire,”. A national memorial service took place on television perpetuating this election year lie and McChrystal was promoted after the affair. It took about 3 YEARS for an investigation to be formed against Republican opposition. It has been less than 3 months and the Republicans are threatening to harm national security in the name of politics for Benghazi. It’s just incredible. It brings back memory of the Lewinsky affair and the Republicans intent on impeaching Clinton. Does anyone remember that? It happened to coincide with the US getting intelligence on Osama bin Laden and Clinton attempting to take him out. Republicans claimed diversion until even the Republican Newt Gingrich came out on CNN and said it was an in progress operation and it was the right thing to do. When will these obstructionist Republicans become a party of nation and national security before simple partisan politics.

Big deal. CIA is very self destructive now, they don’t need to drag down another chief. We can’t have any idea of how much they have spent and there is no such thing as secret can be audited. So we better cut all their expenses until we know how to audit secrecy in this insider economy.
