What a disappointment. In real life, Kate has one of the loveliest, happiest smiles around. but it’s certainly not evident here, AT ALL.

People, centuries of existance, happy, sad, angry, pensive, frightened, bored, focused, exstatic, intimate, distant, sleeping; all these moods reflected in a person’s face.

This picture looks extremely “real”. At first maybe “unflattering” becuase she is a very good looking woman. But the more I look at it, the more I like it and the more I think just hos very good looking she is.

Frankly – she looks better than ever to me. Absolutely real.

To those that miss that… well, your loss I suppose.

Kate is way more attractive than the portrait, but it is a pretty good likeness.

I agree with gregbrew… lovely portrait, as portraits go, but Kate is much prettier than this! Thie painting subdues her beauty.

He has made her eyes look very calculating.

It’s a pretty good self portrait by proxy of the artist.
Sad eyes, tired, a bit calculating and honestly tired of the world but putting on a brave front.

Poor Kate was the unlikely candidate for his self portrait whim.

A very underwhelming wedding dress, underwhelming flowers and now an underwhelming what looks to me as being a self portrait of himself.
