Women pry open door to video game industry's boys' club

I never understood how outsourcing work to professionals whose job it is specifically to do that work can be construed as misogyny. Is it misandrous that the majority of construction workers are men and they get the majority of construction work? Perhaps it would be misogyny if the early video game companies had their own female workers strip at company meetings that they were otherwise not allowed to participate in. Meeting at a strip club or hiring a stripper for an in-house meeting is inconsiderate but not misogynous.

You do sound ‘unreasonable’. What in the world is your analogy referring to? Outsourcing? Construction workers? What are you talking about? I think you’re confused, or, most likely, angry that the article is promoting women.

Women play all kinds of games, even the tradtionally ‘male’ ones. You know why they avoid certain workplaces/games/etc. though? Because they’re constantly debased in them. Put out a plethora of games where males are constantly put down, weakened, have to be ‘saved’ or, gasp, feminized to some degree, and see how many guys buy them.

The bottom line is: people identify with what they see. If they see their self-projection marginalized in a video game, or whatever, then they most likely won’t buy it. When that marginalization is challenged, like the sad way in which most women are portrayed in games, then the “marginlizers” get upset. You know, all those angry men who can’t infantize the opposite sex anymore, even at conventions.

And yes, the strip club thing is misognystic, or misandry in the reverse case. You’re just interested in devolving the opposite gender to some base quantity. If you actually viewed them as equals, you wouldn’t go or care about those places. It’s like you don’t want to evolve and don’t/can’t connect with someone on the level that actual human beings can – through the brain and heart, not just your genetelia.
