So where I ask are all the Tea Party anti-expense members who should be putting an immediate stop to this madness. Or are their oil and gas shares doing so well?

Must be annoying to some of the neo-cons that the US is forbidden to get directly involved in Mali by law. Since the Mali government was put in through a coup, the US is not permitted to directly get involved.

But I am sure the government will find a way to get behind the scenes, and involved even more.

And as Obama claims the US is finally getting out of wars, it is working with the French into another war, and what, again without the Congress giving it’s voted OK. What the Heck, why aren’t we operating as a Democracy.

It serves US interests/security to support France’s actions in Mali. We don’t hear about these details and commitments from the Obama administration because it’s not be a popular action and the backlash from US citizens would not bode well for the Dem/Socialist party. It’s all about protecting US interest in the oil/gas fields in Algeria and supporting Algeria in their own war against Islamic terrorists which has been going on for some time. News won’t tell you this. You must research on your own to know the what/where/why.

Islamic terrorists in Mali and Algeria = Bad
Islamic terrorists in Syria and Libya = Good

Good Question, user4301, I was just about to ask where Code Pink and Cindy Sheehan and all the other anti-war protestors are at.

I guess when the president has a (D) after his name it doesn’t matter as much eh?

Funny how we don’t get a daily update on US casualties in Iraq and Afgahnistan or pictures every day of coffins coming home once obama took office. Now it’s out of sight & out of mind.

Beware “mission creep” as we experienced in Somalia under U.N. auspices, which resulted in the Mogadishu debacle. We cannot let logistic support segue into military intervention. The U.S. has no vital national interests in Mali, and should in no circumstances become involved in a war there, no matter how much our EU Allies importune us.

We were defeated in November. Remember? And unlike leftists, we don’t mob-rule via demonstrations and by defecating on police cars such as your side does.

I guess that means that you need to step up to the plate and stop this madness, User 4301.

So this is why France can keep its Defense budget under control … it makes a phone call and the U.S. provides the taxi service. Then, as in the past, when WE need the French to step up (such as air rights for our long-range bombers) they don’t!
