“Obama devoted a surprisingly long section of Monday’s inauguration speech to climate change — more than a minute out of about 20.”

I guess Al Gore’s check finally cleared…

The great god Obama speaks and the world listens. He makes about as much sense about green issues as he does about going into debt.

@ Overcast451 Over 78% the country acknowledges the affects of climate change and the need to do something about it. You undermine the POTUS. There are published scientific data, reports etc. and also the very obvious circumstances we endured that inspired him to make mention. Al Gore is just one man.

I am pleased he is committed to finding solutions to our dilemma.

Snarky & puerile commentary adds little to the discussion.

@TrueWatchman — You really are hilariously entertaining. It’s apparent that you believe people here will pay attention to your ranting and raving, when in fact, we laugh at you with regularity. you have no credibility here, and that’s unlikely to change.

I’d say more like 100% of the country acknowledges the affects (effects?) of climate change. Some disagree about we human’s effect on causing the change, but let’s assume that pulling carbon out of the ground and burning it does affect things.

Now what? President Obama just gave money to cronies who gave kickbacks and started some ‘companies’ that stood absolutely no chance. Everyone involved knew it from the start. He just gave people tax money and they took it. How does that help?

The earth has been fully tropical and fully frozen in turns at least several times now. We ain’t gonna stop the cycle. What would be the point of reducing greenhouse gasses anyway? To allow for a better quality of life or to allow for an even larger more precarious human population? If people want to get serious about how we live then we need to stop lying about our own population growth. Without sharply reducing the human population, nothing the planet provides will be enough.

He is winning praise from all those who wish to capitalize on the Global Warming scam, nothing more. There is so much money to be had, both in the scientific circles and for various governments that they are still pushing the junk science as sensationalistic dire warnings.

The GOP keeps being called a “do nothing” Congress. In reality, though, they are performing the task for which they were elected every time they thwart the efforts of these folks to raise the taxes and fees that will go along with this stuff.

The eco-wackos point to the damage done by hurricanes and the costs that result. Those hurricanes will look like gentle breezes when compared to the costs of their “solution”.

Patriotic Americans RESPECT their democratically elected President, no matter who he is, or what party he belongs to. As a democracy, we accept free elections, and the results, because that is what democracy is all about.
Nothing wrong with not agreeing with anyone, but the trash spewing, lies, and name calling of the President of the United States, is what you would expect from Al Qaeda, fascists, anarchists, and America haters.

Obama always wins high praise for his goals, he just never actually effects them…save PPACA and all of the wonderful things it’s already done for healthcare costs in this country…

Why don’t you apply that same logic to the democratically elected members of the House of Representatives who are oft reviled?

Obama was also awarded the Nobel Price for Peace. Talk is cheap!!

Let us see some action.

China has spent trillions on alternative energy and hydroelectric projects. 20.8% of electricity generated in China is now green. America has only generated a lot of hot air and place tariffs on solar panels, reject chinese wind farm investments, etc.
