It is not surprising that Peres will be the one to invite Netanyahu to form a government.
Shimon Peres is arguably the most peace averse politician in the Middle East. It was he who reportedly offered nuclear weapons to the ultra repressive apartheid regime in South Africa and it was he who established the now infamous illegal settlements in the Occupied Territories. Netanyahu and Peres are from the same lead cast that is now an anachronistic tragic comedy of errors.
