Egypt's leader declares emergency after clashes

More than 40 people are shot in Port Said (in Egypt) while they were demonstrating peacefully and more than 400 seriously wounded on January 26.

Not only that when their families were carrying them to bury them they were shot at and tear gas was thrown on them just because they chatted against the Muslim Brotherhood President Morsi and his political party. Is this democracy ???

Where is the International Media ??? Why should innocent civilians be killed just because they oppose a political/religious group.

Morsi, the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, and leaders of the freedom & Justice party in Egypt should all be tried for crimes against humanity.

Things like this never happened during the time of the ex president Hosni Mubarak

If Morsi is not for Egypt and Egyptians then he must step down before he destroys Egypt. Making a public verdict and sentencing many people to die the day after the 25 January revolution date was not only stupid — it was calculated to make more protests, create more unrest, further damage Egypt’s failing economy, and not fitting at all from the occupant of the presidential seat.

I agree. This is correct.

However, the people of Port Said were not peacefully protesting against Morsi. They were trying to break the sentenced 21 murderers out of prison!!!
THAT was their reaction to the sentence. It was not about Morsi.

Foolish Egyptians should have voted for Mubarek’s VP or better, ElBaradei. There would be quiet in the streets, economy doing better-tourism up, women having rights, all religions respected. A dream?

Can’t wait to go visit the pyramids.

Any ways, Mursi is chosen by the people. What do you want him to do? Wait another 5 years to take him down. But to protest in a violent way is simply wrong and those perpetrated must be taken down and taught a lesson. Egypt is young for democracy and Mursi has shown tolerance.
