Syria is pretty much dead whatever comes up from this demise… it will take decades to recover and rebuild … but in what no one knows

Let’s get real here, American and European black ops are on the job in Syria. Satellite intelligence is being provided and weapons being provided to the rebels. We have taken sides again without knowing who we are supporting. There is no way the rebels could take a military airport or heavily fortified dam without western help. Here we are sending American treasure and lives into another clandestine war in support of who.

Nothing of interest to comment. No major change on the ground. But propaganda, propaganda, propaganda….

Khaled Yacoub Oweis seems to pick up where Oliver Holmes and Erika salomon left off.

Part of the psychological warfare is for the media to announce the “fall of something” everyday(a bridge, a dam, an inoperable airport…).

This strategy of anouncing rebels’advances and the fall of something in the hands of rebels has always been used by the West in its colonial wars(when backing rebels) particularly in Africa and Latin America.

In Syria that strategy has been defeated by the alternative media and the heroic actions of the Syrian army(of course the border areas with Turkey will remain a problem.)

Hillary Clinton went into coma and Petraeus was fired partly(not the only reason) because of the failure of their strategy of manufacturing a fake opposition and bringing Contras(terrorists) to syria..

Who is to say that the average person in Syria will feel his/her quality of life has improved when/if Assad falls.

A vast percent of Egyptians do not appear any too happy with what the so-called “Arab Spring” has brought to the Land of the Pharaohs.

Change for the sake of change is not always necessarily an improvement and often takes one from the frying pan straight into the fire.

The Legacy of the Assad Father/Son Dynasty leaves a great deal to be desired and a long trail of huge human suffering.

When such a scenario exists it is understandable that accumulated repression and suffering will lead to an eventual and always bloody reaction. When people experience pain in their lives of any kind, then Hope always springs eternal.

It is abundantly clear that things will continue to get worse in Syria for the foreseeable future and long before things appear to get better.

As for the many brutal and extremely repressive dictatorships in that corner of the world, most of them have such a tight hold on power that a Syrian type meltdown does not appear realistic or possible at the present time. Nor would certain outside powers allow any sort of meltdown to take place.

But even the greatest cliffs can fall if the waves are given sufficient time to lap away at their base for a century or two.

May the gods take pity and have mercy on the poor people of Syria whose lives have become a type of living Hell in which their homes and cities are being reduced to smoking mountains of rubble and dust. A country from which long, never ending trails of refugees continue to stream out like water from a contaminated vessel riddled with holes on every side from top to bottom.
