The last thing we need is a progressive pope and the Church knows that. The waves of thought that have crashed against the Church for 2000 years have not changed it. That is because it is the ROCK of civilization and as these “new ideas” come and go the Church remains true to the core of the teachings. Progression is doomed to history and to be repeated and repeated again and again. God bless the Church. Progression is the last thing we need at this time in history.
