American-US Air merger would boost revival of oneworld alliance

This is a ridiculous statement. US Airways has hubs in Philadelphia and Charlotte (where they “feed” their routes). American has trans Atlantic routes out of JFK and to a lesser degree, Chicago, Dallas and Miami. US Airways doesn’t “feed” into any of these places and is a minor player in all of them. There ain’t no synergy here.

Further any knowledgeable passenger would want to avoid JFK and O’Hare because of congestion and delays.

This merger is a bad idea. I woun’t fly on this merged airline — it will make the United-Continental merger look like the Swiss railways by comparison.
