There is no saving Detroit unless someone comes in and cleans house in every city department and even that probably wouldn’t do it. Plus it’s not just Detroit that has big problems. There are a host of cities in the area that are having similar financial troubles either in the school systems or the cities themselves.

Taylor, River Rouge, Lincoln Park, Southgate, Ecorse just to name a few. The local papers are full of stories every week about cutbacks, layoffs, school closings and the like.

Emergency Managers will soon be one of the top job searches in Southeast Michigan.
