Photos of ailing Chavez stir emotions in Venezuela
Just out of curiosity, couldn’t those photos have been taken pre-op?
It’s OK Venezuelans. If Chavez dies, there are plenty of other dictators waiting in line that you can subject yourselves to. Idiots.
The cult of personality will always leave its mark on a country’s populace, until the generations that lived under the tyrant die off. Recently, there were pictures of elderly Russians kissing busts of Stalin. This is all they remember of their youth. How sad. There were no pictures of young Russians emulating their elders. Every tyrant believes his legacy will live on after him. What inane, idiotic narcissism.
Why do we give this murdering “Thug” any press. He is no different than any other dictator or tyrant in history. He will end up at the end of a rope or up against a wall as they all do.
I wonder if he smells brimstone.
He’ll never go the UN again and call George W. Bush, “Satan”.
The people who support Chavez remind me of Obama supporters here.
“When I saw this photo, I thought how beautiful, here he is calling on the people to keep fighting. When I see this smile, I can see Christ, I can see Simon Bolivar.”
Kind of ironic when you’re talking about a guy whose beloved poster boy and idol Che Guevara took particular delight in machine-gunning crucifix-wearing nuns and priests while forcing their students and congregations to watch.
Well, evidently, at least some people in his country want and deserve him. Certainly, people in the U.S. couldn’t care less as soon, there will be one less lunatic to be concerned about.
The picture was obviously taken pre-op and as many of us know, at a certain point, no amount of meatball surgery can save you from the ravages of cancer…not even the miracle workers in that bastion of medical science known as Cuba.
Given the political proclivities of the media, Chavez is quickly becoming the next Generalissimo Francisco Franco…who is reportedly gaining ground in his epic battle to stay tragically dead. ENOUGH – very few care.
