This deal may work for the Chinese companies because one will buy the car and another will buy the battery. Hopefully, they can work together because the US needs battery cars to reduce the need for petroleum. Shell’s Arctic drilling problems and Keystone XL’s pipeline problems will hinder development of US petroleum supplies, making alternate fuels attractive.
