Hey’ reuters,
Why no mention of rebel command centre and rebel commander seriously wounded? Why a separate little story on that, not in the headline? Why not combine the two under a straightforward headline, ‘Syrian army fires missile on rebel command and control centre in Aleppo, senior rebel commander wounded’?
Perhaps, Slammy knows the answer?

I cannot speak for Reuters but that blurb is on the Guardian web site. I do not see the injury mentioned on NowLebanon, which is usually pretty current on such things. Maybe some reporters are slow this morning?

Go Non-Terrorist FSA!

I do not see that story on rt.com either, however, I have had a hard time finding specific stories on rt.com. Do you think the Russians and Reuters are trying to cover this up? Hmm…

Who are the “opposition activists”?
Is that a new group in Syria?
Maybe some group like the Peace Corps distributing books on democracy?
Are they fighting the GOVERNMENT or the REBELS in the Syrian CIVIL WAR?
Give the hype and bias a rest, your words are not fooling anyone.

Slammy,
I referred to the Reuters’ little story, which they promptly buried into the background. “A missile struck the command center of the main Syrian rebel force near Damascus on Wednesday, wounding its leader…”.
It would be natural to infer that missile strike in Aleppo was of the same nature – it would be difficult to believe that Syrian Army would fire a missile – a scarce and expensive piece of equipment – just to kill few civilians.

“Non-terrorist FSA” – who do you refer to? Even BBC’s Ian Pannel embedded with “rebels” reports:
“In a pattern familiar across Syria, rebel fighters advanced into the town, … and those who could get out, did. Every day homes are shelled and houses destroyed … Entire homes have been flattened … the army sent a column of troops and tanks along the desert road that leads to Aleppo to try and relieve beleaguered troops there. They were met and halted by hardcore Islamist fighters, self-styled mujahideen or holy warriors. … Foreign fighters from Libya, Iraq and Saudi Arabia together with Syrian Islamists, … rebel fighters, invariably with Islamist battalions like Jabhat al-Nusra and Ahrar al-Sham in the lead, have made key gains in the north.”

No mention of delusions like “non-terrorist insurgents”. Incidentally, BBC report agrees with similar factual reporting by the Syrian government side…
