U.S. issues final word on essential benefits under "Obamacare"
The title makes one think that the article will list of health benefits that will be offered. But, alas that is not to be the case. Once again the news misleads.
hehe, they legislate that you MUST buy ‘insurance’ from a privately owned insurance company. Can you say legislated ‘protection money’, hehe? If it’s a law that you must purchase from these companies it’s pretty much a free hand for these private corporations to set the rates. Since when has it been the mandate of government to legislate laws to benefit private corporate share holders? You Obama supporters are really, really, really far out there.
Obama said you wouldn’t lose your coverage or your Doctor? If your employer drops your insurance and kicks you to the curb (exchange) it looks like you lose your coverage and your Doctor to me.
@stambo2001 The Obama supporters are a lost cause. They view you as the enemy so there is no reason trying to debate with them. They believe Obamacare will magically fix our healthcare system. In reality, it doesn’t address the main problem of the healthcare system and that’s cost. Not the cost of insurance, but the cost the hospital passes to you — the final bill they send you after they wave you goodbye with a smile. Sadly, the basic principles of economics says the cost will probably increase with Obamacare in full swing. It’s good that more people will have insurance, but for most of us, the bills we receive will look the same, if not be more. If you have to spend a couple days in the hospital, good luck.
The program for those with pre-existing conditions has already run out of money and many will NOT have the coverage promised. If this program has been cut due to lack of funds, what does that say for all the other options in Obamacare?
No one knows with certainty. It is a “wait and see” until the entire Obamacare is implemented.
I think,if doctors, hospitals, insurance companies and everyone else,in the healthcare system,is willing to take massive pay cuts, along with govt picking up the costs, this might work.

Not that I would expect someone like you to know what PPACA actually does before you ignorantly rail against it, but your claim is completely baseless due to the clause that dictates that insurance companies must spend at least 85 cents of every premium dollar on actually providing care and not jacking up rates to line their executives’ pockets.
