North Korea has only itself to blame for the hardships they are inflicting on its own people…NOT the USA. They have every right to defend south Korea when North Korea is making provocations against the USA and South Korea!

“re-engage in stalled six-party talks on denuclearization”. Talk is cheap and every country knows it. The US loves to talk, but only because they have all that military might behind it. The bully in the school yard gets upset when he is stood up to. Too bad the actual people of both the US and N. Korea have to endure their governments thumping their chests at each other. In the end, the people of the world suffer for the stupidity of a few power hungry people.

So North Korea has only itself to blame for being shut out by the rest of the world for its choice in self government? That is absurd. We could be great friends if ignorance did not make every American think that communism is some terrible plague. I would say the US has decidedly more guns pointed at North Korea than the other way around. The North Koreans put peace on the table a long time ago, all the US has to do is agree to a non-aggression pact. The threat of US military action is the entire reason for NK’s nuclear program but we won’t agree to guaranteeing their security! Would we expect anything less for our selves?

“self government”

HAHA. You can’t be serious. The N Korean people are starving so that a wealthy military oligarchy can continue to practice feudalism in the 21st century. And they are enabled to do so by China … whose sole purpose is to maintain a buffer state between them and S Korea. That’s right, millions of Koreans are starving so that China can have its Iron Curtain.

It is the worst form of Tyranny possible. This is no self governing.
