Journalist Woodward tangles with White House over spending cuts

I’d give the edge in credibility to Woodward.

Let’s see, someone said to someone else that they may regret having their head up their … (you know) and that is news? Totally pathetic.

The sequester is clearly a significant cut in spending – which appears to satisfy the republican’s mantra. Without any proposals to boost taxes for the wealthiest Americans, it is a one-sided process that allows the republicans to sit back and do nothing.

If the sequester proposal originally included tax hikes for the wealthy, in addition to the cuts, we wouldn’t see this stagnation because the debate-argument would be ongoing. But then again, if tax hikes had been included, the sequester would never have been approved in the first place.

Running in circles…

There is increasing desperation in all of the Obamaist’s actions. The clock is ticking down, and they are not doing well. He drew a line in the sand, and now is afraid of where it leaves him. Bill Clinton would have never made this type of mistake, GW Bush did frequently. Once again, the dogged pursuit of the Liberal agenda is going to destroy these guys, just like 2010. Pragmatism, centrism worked for Clinton. Obama is glib, but not really very bright.

I remember hearing Pres. Obama say he intended to destroy his opponents and reward his friends. This is more proof he meant what he said.

Few seem to be able to recognize that Woodward wants to sell books. What better way to put himself into the limelight by offering an inflammatory opinion?

He may be a great reporter, but he’s just stating an opinion, and I don’t see the “you’ll regret…” statement as a threat. He’d like for it to be a threat I’m sure. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for books sold.

According to Jay Carney: “and the sequester was one of the idea put forward, yes by the president’s team.”

So, it was:

1) Conjured up by Obama’s team (Democrat)

2) Passed by the House (Republican)

3) Passed by the Senate (Democrat)

4) Signed by the President (Democrat)

You may be confusing the President with a CEO. Generally if you destroy your opponents and reward your friends you end up with enemies with substantive opinions and “yes men” for friends. You know, like most corporations are now run, by a shallow seeker of personal aggrandizement surrounded by sycophants.
