New anti-smuggling center uncovers internal surprises

“investigating a suspected night-vision smuggler who was in fact an undercover Homeland Security agent.” Just how much ACTUAL crime is, in fact, initiated by the agencies themselves?

“We have seen no decline in the appetite of rogue regimes, terrorist organizations and others for restricted U.S. technology,” What’s that? People seeking more power are after the tools to get it? I never would have thought.

“The E2C2 is situated in Northern Virginia. Its budget and the number of its employees are not public.” Imagine that. Another secret agency that’ll never go away because everything it does is classified.

Let’s all keep this in mind when they tell us all those figures about how many are employed in the Federal government, how much this or that budget is. It doesn’t even take these agencies or their budgets into account. The public is only told EXACTLY what they WANT you to know, and NOTHING more.
