Dialogue with the Muslim world is a good idea. Encouraging the poor to help themselves rather than looking for hand-outs would be good too, balanced by encouraging rich people not to exploit poor people.

Pope Francis is a peacemaker, a refreshing idea for all mankind to put in their pipes and smoke. He, the Pope Having a “Hive” mentality, one where all work for the common good is Alien or futuristic thinking but would advance society and humanity.
Pope Francis knows about friendship and fedelity which are signs of advance thnking. “Hive means cooperation, sharing, forgiving, it also is stronger and smarter than individuals. The Pope is not only a great leader but a forward thinking person we can all learn from even if we are not Catholic.

a dialogue or conversation with others is fine, but not as a means to bring compromise to the gospel. the pope’s first responsibility to God is to preach the gospel. jesus is the only way to heaven, period end of story. that’s what the pope believes if he’s a christian. christian first, catholic second. i’d like to see him go in this direction in a world of increasing compromise and assaults on the word of God.

This Pope is truly the NEW WORLD POPE, as Time Magizine has dubbed him. the Poope said, “should help to build bridges connecting all people, in such a way that everyone can see in the other not an enemy, not a rival, but a brother or sister.” This is the New Age Religon.

These statements confirm the Pope is a heratic. He should be saying we can be brothers and sisters in Christ. It’s not all inclusive. Christian’s are to be seperate from the world, and one in Christ.

Reflective Insight!
I was an indoctrinated Catholic through my college years and perhaps for another 10 years. Ironically, it was the Jesuits who opened my mind to challenge. One of the doctrines I always had to struggle with was committing the sin of birth control. As a Catholic, college educated professional, my wife and I chose contraception because we rationalized, even upper middle class we could not afford to maintain our life style with more then 2-3 children. It is true, we spent 100′s of thousands of dollars to raise each one. On a net income of much less then 100,000 dollars a year.

So, we question(ed), how does a poverty level person accomplish survival, much less all the rest of ‘quality’ of life issues and boost their children into a professional life style if not allowed to practice birth control insisted upon by their religious beliefs, which is guilt driven by the fear of ‘sinning against the Catholic god, as interpreted and enforced by the almighty, master of these beliefs, the infallible Pope, who declares the just and righteous interpretations of laws and doctrines? Oh yes, we just witnessed an example of how infallibly consistent the Popes as they follow one another. They are no different then political parties switching places as the newly elected leaders of their respective ‘states’. The previous ‘infallible’ doctrines can be repealed, altered and new ones instituted to meet a new challenge to the organized Catholic corporation, which profits from its endeavors cloaked as helping the downtrodden, the poor, the sick, deprived, diseased, starving humans of Earth. If the religions of man were doing such a great job with the money they collect, why are there so many poor, suffering souls?

The sanctity of an endeavor labels it holy and ‘approved’ by God. Thus we should humble ourselves and accept and support it, not only with prayers, but also with our change and dollars. This business model isn’t patented by the Catholic Church. It is the model upon which all organized religions build their corporate establishments. Money is the source of their motivation. Wherefrom comes the money? The faithful followers of infallible doctrine. A Protestant, by definition will not monetarily support the Catholic Church. A Catholic will not contribute $$ to any of the Protestant, faith belief systems. Likewise, Evangelicals, Mormons, Moslems, Buddhists, Shintoist, Confucianist, Atheists, Agnostics, ad infinatum. Everyone with an alternative idea will only support ‘that idea’. Call it a Meme.

Back to birth control. Finally, I conclude. The reason the Catholic Church assigns a label of harsh mortal sin to birth control and of course abortion, which defeats the Sanctity of life, because they dangerously minimize and reduce the followers who pay to support the Catholic Church. As with all other organized, religious corporations, constructed by humans to foster and grow their meme and make more money. The reason so many Catholic churches, schools and hospitals are folding and closing their doors? Poor attendance, loss of followers and the $$ they contribute in many ways to the corporate coffers, of the Pope in Rome.

In doubt I trust.., Gary

There can’t really be a dialog with ‘Islam’. Because unlike Roman Catholicism or Greek Orthodox or Coptic Christianity, there is no central ‘Islamic’ authority.

There are respected institutions in the Muslim world, schools of religious learning, particularly Al-Azhar university in Cairo. But that is just one school of theology, and just about every school of thought in Islam is tainted by including cultural practices that are *not* mentioned in the Qu’ran.
