Attorney general under pressure to open more leak inquiries

Where’s the “inquiry” into Eric Holder? Now, there’s a priority.

Holder can’t tell the truth, but he’s supposed to go after those who do? There’s a new example of chutzpah!

The evening entertainment programs are competing with the evening news and related commentaries.

There used to be a way to catch those who leaked by telling slightly different versions of classified programs to each person. The way it worked was that when the spy told it that the one fact that was told only to him made it out, it would only have come from the one with that piece of the puzzle. We have some of the worst kept secrets on the planet, and the way that some persons within the government eagerly betray our trust is revolting! On the other hand, our government is capable of some horrific deeds as well. This is the reason they hold classified briefings, our representatives are supposed to insure that laws aren’t broken, and make sure our constitutional rights aren’t broken while also protecting us from threats (both foreign and domestic). When secrets cannot be kept, and distrust keeps our leaders from working with one another, we get Watergate, Iran-Contra, Ken Starr and torture-gate.We also end up with an administration that only listens to advisors who convince you that if the president does it, by definition it becomes legal, and a congress that no longer respects the office of the president and becomes incapable of doing more then hearings. You can’t blame the news agencies for doing their job, just for not also treating the story about leaks being just as big (it is a big deal)

Ah – life in a semi-democracy…

I notice that journalists are mainly protesting violations of what they consider to be their special immunities and privileges such as advance notice of warranted searches and not being characterized as criminal suspects. While the press must be protected from political harassment, I think the expectations of the press in criminal investigation matters exceeds what is reasonable. Why should targets of investigations, no matter who they are, be given opportunities to hide evidence? If police authorities in fact view a person as a criminal suspect isn’t it better for that to be openly and officially claimed than dishonestly concealed? There is a lot to be upset about in the way the government has been conducting investigations and surveillance but the press is proving to be insensitive to it outside of its own special interests.

So, the criminals want to find the criminal that exposed their crimes. I suppose there is some demented justice in that. Hope they fail though. We need more criminals of the revealing secrets types, not less. The governments of the world are controlled by criminal cabals led be the Banksters.

All is not lost though. There are more of us than there are of them. Resist in any way you can. Become self sufficient, get out of debt,don’t buy their products and find a way to survive without using their money or using as little as you can. If you believe the vote means something then always vote against those backed by the “system”. Never re-elect an incumbent until liberty and honesty is restored.

Remember, even if they take your weapons your strength is in your numbers and if you still have it, your faith in a Higher power that wants only what is good and right for you. Use it! Don’t let them pit faith against faith or brother against brother. That is one of their greatest weapons. We are all brothers and we are all created by the same Creator no matter how we see or define that creator. Don’t let them do it. Don’t let them divide us.

Look at PRISM… by the way FIRE this Clapper person, better yet start tracking HIS movements… Ever heard of the Bill of Rights! Clapper also said that the insight provided by these programs has “led to successful efforts to mitigate” terrorist threats. Question, does he mean the Boston bombings… What has this US spying program “… mitigated…”, Clapper? Oh right it’s a secret US surveillance program directed at people living in the USA !@##@!!! The leaker is a hero of the People !
The true enemy are now the secret organisations that spy on each and every Citizen of the world. The leaker/whistleblower should receive the highest civilian honors. Be named Patriot of the decade. The government is totally out of control. They are supposed to represent us. They do not.It’s not about Bush or Obama.It’s about the world becoming a police state. The heck with investigations into who leaked the evidence of yet another Obama administration AND Congressional crimes against We the People. Prosecute the traitors at the head of the monster that our own government has become. Imprison Holder, NSA leaders, and others vitally complicit in these crimes against US and OUR Constitution. We must not have our attention diverted from these arch criminals to those who may have broken some laws by reporting honestly to We the People about the crimes waged against US by the likes of Eric Holder.

Obama’s not the problem, the American Citizens are the problem for allowing their government to walk all over them in the name of security. You all seem to forget that fact in your cowardice to stand up for yourselves to your ELECTED representatives.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned us about the Military Industrial Complex (of which the NSA is part), taking over way back in 1961, but you go right ahead and blame Obama if it makes you feel better. In 2016 you’ll have someone else to blame and all you’ll have to do is substitute their name for Obama’s.

Granted Obama is not helping with transparency or preserving our constitutional rights, but neither are the rest of Washington’s paid for politicians thanks to how powerful the MIC and Corporate America have become. Just think of what it’s going to look like in another 40 years if the people continue to sacrifice freedoms for security. Personally, I’d rather take the miniscule risks than to be confined to measured and dwindling freedoms.

The leaks aren’t a media problem, it’s a problem of loose information security in the Federal Government, leaks that should be plugged by imprisoning each and every government-employed leaker.

I’ve been saying for a week that everyone who knew about PRISM should be polygraphed – Including Obama, Holder, Biden, their staff and political operatives.

I’ll add another pair to the list: Intelligence Director James Clapper and Janet Napolitano, head of Homeland Security, and their staff.

Obama and Holder because they’re con men. Janet Napolitano because she is totally incompetent.

Of course both Clapper and Biden are simply senile old men – Their performance in many news interviews prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Invest a couple of hours into looking at clips of all these clowns on YouTube about various legal and security conflicts – If you’re disgusted with their disagreements with Congress, be prepare for some MAJOR disgust when you find out that they can’t even agree with themselves – It depends on the audience.

“By tradition supposed…” What about all the evidence that the supposition does not extend to Holder’s Jusice Department? That evidence, Ms. Cordero, is the “reason why that would change now”.

What Ms. Cordero minimizes as “unpopular” is, in fact, a well justified, near universal demand for accountability. It isn’t mere “populism” at all.

No matter how you look at it the Guardian is a foreign newspaper, what is their motivation to “leak” information regarding US safekeeping efforts.

The US government, like all governments, are enemies of a free people. Resist government, hide your identity, don’t use banks, credit cards, big company cell phones, become invisible. Transact in cash, barter when possible, hide income, hide wealth, spit on all government employees, they are your enemy and are out to destroy your liberties and freedoms and civil rights.

And America is becoming no better than other fascist regimes who seek to silence anyone speaking out against the government. Ironically, we keep seeing headlines about acts like this happening in China and Iran, yet here in the U.S. it was front page news for a day, by day two the media had quickly shifted focus away from the government to the social and telcom companies, and now it’s about investigating who leaked the information.

When I consider these “leakers” I get visions of a small group of men in the back room of a small tavern in Boston speaking with passion about a promising future. A future without the fear and tyranny of an oppressive king and his agents suck the life from their spirits and wealth of their labors while watching the same king and his agents prosper as they squander the future of their children. If the shoe fits wear it.
Like those men of the past, so also, do these Patriots, these “leakers” deserve full recognition for what they are risking for our future. Because of the sheer nature and danger of their decisions we may never know their names or their faces. But as fellow Americans we do know their spirit. And as any true American would we recognize them not as the criminals the king and his agents would have believe they are but as the true heroes of our liberty. They also deserve more than our words or recognition. They deserve our protection-from the king.

The Attorney General is, unfortunately, a criminal.

‘Leakers’? I call them whistleblowers, patriots, freedom-fighters.

The collection of data was not approved by the public; the decision was made in secrecy by a few who have taken great liberty in their interpretation of office.

I fail to see how this so-called ‘leak’ should be considered an offense of any kind; instead it should be viewed as an effort toward greater transparency and the government should award the those responsible for this great service. In fact…I demand this be the action taken.

We’ve allowed entirely too much leeway to our representatives who seem to believe they are doing things for our betterment rather than carry our spirit into Congress regardless of what that spirit may be. We do NOT elect leaders, we elect representation. It is incumbent upon us all to be aware and informed so we may instruct our representation on how they may best represent us. Leaving too much in their hands results in problems like we are seeing now.

Don’t blame your congressman or the president when it is our own fault. Fortunately we can correct this swiftly and easily.

Contact your representation. Don’t be afraid to clog up their phone lines or stuff their e-mail accounts. They are there to carry the voice of their constituency and are always appreciative of those who take an active role, those who speak out.

I believe the administration purposely leaked this to draw attention away from the other scandals. They really want the IRS issue to go away, but I’m willing to bet it will lead direct to the top!

It is time to clean house. Send Libertarians en masse to the House and Senate. Republicans and Democrats have trampled our rights and freedoms and our liberty for long enough.

I see from the comments posted that paranoia is alive and well. Yet all of you would be screaming a different tune if successful foreign attacks had not been stopped. Why was the Patriot Act a good idea under a Republican administration, but is somehow evil under a democratic one?

The citizens need better surveillance of their leaders……to increase security and minimize corruption.

From who? It could only be one person putting pressure on Holder as the public wants more leaks to expose the corrupt government. Only Obama and his cabal would want the leaks to stop. They shouldn’t be doing anything that requires a leak to expose.

Of course there will be investigations – leading to nowhere or to one person willing to fall on his sword for the administration! We now see a supposed “Republican” in the Cincinnati office of the IRS doing so – look for a reward by the administration for this person.

I am hearing alot about leaks affecting national security;Vice President Biden went on air and told the world the names involved in the bin laden killing..He put a traget on their backs and their families..I hear about scandal,leaks..with everyone focusing on who the leaks where from..yada yada;not focusing/or holding those that were behind the crimes/scandals to any accountabilty.Media,majority..keep missing the point to these leaks..The truth behind them….
