Special Report: Deepening ethnic rifts reshape Syria's towns

An excellent article. The only important part missing: it doesn’t tell us anything about the system of cooperation between the communities that used to work for decades. Without a better understanding how Sunnis and Alawites were involved in business and administration; in education and culture, the reader is not in a position to see “the whole” which is falling apart.

Maybe the criminal peacemaker Obama needs to go over and tell them they are encouraging fear and division like he did to the Irish recently just because they have Protestant and Catholic schools.

This entire mess flows from American desire to demonstrate an Arab rebellion against authoritarianism which was not US backed. Since none was happening, Syria was selected. More American stupidity in the Middle East. Get out and stay out!

Note: this is less stupidity on the part of ordinary Americans and more the arrogance of the wealthy “Americans”, many of them foreigners, now in charge of the country. The country was sold to the highest bidder by our politicians and judges.

“Good news”: Obama’s arms shipments, “hopefully” more powerful than those readily available from Libya’s out-of-control armories, will “Solve the Problems”.
