American cities and counties who want to use any public monies or “bond” the people with government bonds for stadia should heed this problem in Brazil. Cities like Los Angeles and Sacramento should heed this warning. The Warriors are leaving Oakland with an arena which is financed by the city and they (the Warriors) are going to the San Jose area. The Meadowlands is doing poorly since the Giants moved and the Nets moved to Brooklyn. The Alamo Dome in San Antonio no longer is home to the Spurs and the city is on the hook for that. Sooner or later, the citizens of cities and counties are going to rebel at public financing or bond guarantee for private enterprise sports stadia.

Well… it only shows the obvious: Only the countries that already have the infrastructure should be allowed to host the events… not a matter of discrimination… but of pure logic…
The number of security agents used for this insignificant confederations cup is bigger than the used in South Africa’s world cup…
But i believe things are positive for Brazil so far: transport fares are down and PEC37 and oil royalties issues were solved by popular pressure… while the government showed its empty and pure publicity mask in the president’s speech and her call for a “referendum” just because is a “popular” word plus the complete lack of other solid or reliable measures that reduce her real performance so far to… the zero federal tax over imports of kidney beans … lol

some flyby over brazilian news websites… and interesting things to watch for the next days:
-Increase in toll fares expected for july 1 together with the final prices for world cup tickets…
-Calls for help in form of taxpayer money from EBX group… 3 former gov ministers just left the group last week…
-Pope Francis making some kind of homophobic speech during his trip to Rio…
-Dilma’s approval falling and allies begining to desert or revolt…
-Brazilian shops not coping with the demand for V masks hehehe… remember… remember… the 5th of november…
