Millions flood Egypt's streets to demand Mursi quit
Out with Mursi and in with the votes!!!
The picture for this article says it all….religious maniacs trying to run the country…..I’ve said it before..before too long we’ll have an arc of islamic dictatorships across Africa extending right up into the Middle East….WW3 isn’t too far away.
I don’t consider egypt to have a Democracy. That was a lie told to us by the Brotherhood and Clinton. We all knew that could never happen. and the people swallowed it, and are now vomiting it back in the faces of their Leader, and ours.
There’s something wrong with this story.
After the CIA has meddled in the sovereignty of other nations, peace and harmony have always followed.
those who want an islamic theocracy are quite adept at using democracy to fulfill their ends. that’s exactly what’s happened in egypt and now you see the leadership of turkey trying to move in that direction.
All should read Isaiah 19. It reads like a present day news article. Nothing will stop what is coming. Isaiah 17 is under way as well. Any doubters out there?
The very left wing, state controlled media, repeats the silly notion that Egypt is a democracy and that Mursi was freely elected. The elections were like elections in Chicago or Cleveland; totally bogus and corrupt. Why the Marxist redistribution crowd’s love affair with Muslim terrorism is beyond me. It is probably because both the socialist-democrat party hacks and their slavish, MSM repeaters both hate the US.
morsi has done nothing to egypt, he is a dictator, threatening the media and newspapers , nothing changed since the revolution and he has no plans or strategies and egypt lives a usual daily crisis starting by the electricity, to the water to the gas and unusual increase in prices, he should leave and him staying or leaving has nothing to do with this country being a muslim country
A rigged election by the Muslim Brotherhood is going to erupt in a civil war. Arabs have been exposed to western culture and they like it, except for the religious fanatics like the Muslim Brotherhood who believe in Sharia Law and want to squash any dissent.
Our government needs to support these Freedom fighters! If we do peace will follow! (sarcasm) And we still send money to this evil regime!
The Brotherhood didn’t even join the rebels in their demonstrations, until AFTER it became obvious that they MIGHT win. Then, they were able to hi-jacked the entire movement because the were well organized and the Rebels had no organization. That’s how they were able to win the elections. Even though Morsi may be somewhat moderate, in his views, his political party is NOT.
why do they wait until sunday to do this-
‘JamVee’ I agree. Thanks for stating the facts. Your brief history is the basis of the unrest in Egypt.
It also seems that Mursi in Egypt and Erogan (sp?) in Turkey are following their history in a winner-take-all approach to governing. They are ignoring huge parts of their societies by assuming that 50.1% of the vote means they and their parties have carte blanche.
Gosh, I wish I would have seen this coming.
Gosh, I wish I would have seen this coming.
This article is pretty laughable.
Reuters keeps pushing this “freely elected” thing with Morsi while brushing over all is illegal power grabs as soon as he was elected.
Kinda makes you think Reuters has an agenda. Hard to believe I know.
Yes the tomato guy verses mass protests is a better option. All said though there needs to be change of government.
“Ah ah, mursi mursi me, things ain’t what they used to be” -Marvin Gaye
Egypt is very westernized and not tolerant of Sharia law, poverty and removing woman’s rights. They were better off with Mubarek.
Islamic protesters were jailed along with the Muslim Brotherhood. Tourism, education and cash flowed like the Nile.
“Be careful what you wish for” -Eminem
Religious fundamentalism is dying by the force of free thinkers around the world. It’s great the see the extent of the demonstrations around the world – in both West and Eastern socities. Fundamentalist control is from the dark ages and will soon be with the dinosaurs.
Democracy – 51% telling the other 49% what to do.
No worries. . .rogue CIA/State Department controlled US military riot control will save demonic Islamist Mursi. That’s what Obama’s version of democracy looks like! Anybody even bother to question where the Constitutional authority comes from to send US riot control personnel to a foreign country? Exactly where is our (U.S.) interest in propping up this demonic tyrannical Islamist his own people hate? These soldiers should stand down and uphold their oaths! Guarantee you these thug soldiers (Storm Troopers)will be on a street near you very very soon.
What revolution?
This is the same Egypt that Obama just gave several modern tanks and F-16 fighter jets. Obama, America’s first black and Muslim president
Where’s a Pharaoh when you need one?
obama and his saudi friends cannot be thrilled with this.
Good news for a change – the people giving their answer to the bearded little wretches trying to set up another Khomeini regime there. These people cannot be trusted anywhere, not in Turkey, not in Tunisia, nowhere. Nobody who wants power should be trusted and less so when they use religion to grab it. Now we know: moderate Islamist, hard-line Islamist – they are all the same impious muck and desecrators of religion.
I suppose it was to be expected. Egyptians are the most advanced of the Arab peoples, and too modern in their thinking to accept this abrupt turn back to the Middle Ages.
It is encouraging to see the people rise up and take a stand against a government that will not respect the will of the people. A wave of second “Arab Springs” may sweep away those who hijacked a people’s revolts to only install a different dictators. Someday, there might even be an “American Spring”.
What’s happening in Egypt is going to happen here in the United States.
Score of Egyptians are killed by automatic fire arms fired by the Muslim Brothers militia.
Looks like Egyptians don’t want to live under the same tyranny of Islamofascist Saudi Arabia.
I’m Egyptian y’all and this is one amazing night!
I’m so proud of my people and the way they surprise everyone.
They could very quickly dispel all the right wing illusions and all the lies in the name of God…
We will not be blinded or misled by abusers of religion anymore. We have toppled yet another dictator and along with him a legacy of hate and fanaticism. Freedom has prevailed.
Mursi does not have democratic legitimacy since once in power he went about undoing democracy. You can’t just use democracy to get into power, you need to maintain that same democracy that got you there, otherwise you lose legitimacy, no matter how you go there. Many communist governments were formed by getting democratically elected, but once in power, they stripped the people of all vestiges of democracy. Mursi and the Brotherhood are doing the same. In short, Mursi’s claims of “democracy” is one big lie he’s trying to pull over the people. To think Islamic Brotherhood and their Salafi partners believe in democracy is laughable.
