Court lifts ban on gay marriage in California
Fantastic! Nice to see civil rights aren’t something that can be voted on.
Arttie, why then did you (pl.) VOTE in a governor and attorney general so clearly committed to overturning prop8??
Lesson; NEVER fall for the stupid, bigoted voices who convince you to try to vote away someone else’s constitutional rights!!!! NEVER!!!!
The dominoes are going to start falling state by state, and I’m glad. Congratulations to all the couples in California!
I wish you all long, prosperous and happy lives, and I’m celebrating here in the South (yep, a blue Southerner if you can believe it) on your behalf.
It’s been a great week in many ways.
I can’t believe this was ever an issue to begin with. It never should have been up for a vote. It is a basic human right to get married. I’ll bet those who voted against it are in miserable heterosexual marriages.
I am a happily married heterosexual mother of three college students and finally proud to be a Californian again!
